Die Herstellung von tragfähigen Leichtbaustrukturen erfordert innovative Konstruktionsansätze und fortschrittliche Fertigungsverfahren wie Laserstrahlschweißen, laseradditive Fertigung und Laser-Shock-Peening. Ein tiefes Verständnis der Beziehungen zwischen Prozess, Werkstoffeigenschaften und resultierendem Strukturverhalten ermöglicht die gezielte Einstellung der Struktureigenschaften. Hochentwickelte experimentelle Methoden und Simulationen ergänzen diese Vorgehensweise, um die Integrität der bearbeiteten Werkstoffe und Strukturen umfassend zu bewerten. Dies trägt zur Entwicklung zuverlässiger Leichtbaustrukturen mit hoher Lebensdauer bei, um Belastungen und Gefahren für Mensch und Umwelt zu minimieren.
Unser Ziel ist es, die Prozess-Eigenschaft-Strukturbeziehungen zu verstehen und die Strukturintegrität von Leichtbaustrukturen zu optimieren. Dies ist entscheidend für die Entwicklung von Bauteilen und Strukturen, die mit technologischen Prozessen erzeugt werden. Neben Laserschweißen und laseradditiver Fertigung untersuchen wir auch Methoden wie Laser-Shock-Peening und Laserwärmebehandlung, um Werkstoffeigenschaften und Eigenspannungszustände zu verbessern. Dabei nutzen wir experimentelle Methoden und Simulationen.
